Clean Room Pass Box

Pass box (transfer window) is a mandatory isolation device installed on cleanroom partition walls, used to transfer materials, tools, samples and supplies between clean areas of different cleanliness levels, avoiding frequent door opening to prevent massive unfiltered air exchange and cross-contamination.

It is divided into two core types: Static Pass Box (Station Pass Box) and Dynamic Pass Box (Self-cleaning Pass Box / Air Shower Pass Box). Both adopt mechanical/electronic double interlock to ensure only one door can open at a time, blocking direct airflow communication between two rooms.

Part 1: Static Pass Box (Station Pass Box)

1. Structure & Material

• Main housing: SUS304 stainless steel as standard; SUS316L optional for corrosive disinfection environment. 0.8–1.2mm thick plate, full seamless argon arc welding, all inner corners rounded to eliminate sanitary dead angles.

• Double door interlock system: Two optional types

  1. Mechanical interlock: Pure mechanical latch, no power supply, low failure rate, easy maintenance;

  2. Electronic interlock: Solenoid control with indicator light, buzzer alarm for misoperation.

• Door sealing: EPDM elastic silicone rubber gasket, airtight seal to reduce air leakage during transfer.

• Internal accessories: Optional stainless steel carrying tray, ultraviolet germicidal lamp (UV lamp) for surface disinfection of transferred goods.

• Installation mode: Wall embedded flush mounting, matching cleanroom sandwich panel wall thickness.

2. Core Features

1. Simple interlock isolation function, no fan or filtration system;

2. Zero power consumption if choosing mechanical interlock, stable long-term operation;

3. Low cost, compact size, easy installation and daily wiping disinfection;

4. Equipped with UV sterilization lamp to disinfect goods before entering high-clean areas.

3. Application Scenarios

Transfer between adjacent same-level clean rooms (ISO7 / ISO8), warehouse & packaging room, laboratory sample transfer, cosmetic factory non-sterile & semi-sterile zone separation, hospital general ward supply transfer.

Part 2: Dynamic Pass Box (Self-cleaning Dynamic Pass Box)

1. Structure & Material

Base cabinet same stainless steel structure as static pass box, with extra integrated purification air circulation system:

1. Internal air circulation fan: Low-noise centrifugal fan, stable airflow circulation inside the cavity;

2. Filtration system: Primary pre-filter + H14 HEPA terminal filter, filters out 99.995% of 0.3μm particles;

3. Air shower nozzles: High-speed uniform air jets blow dust and particles off material surfaces;

4. Double electronic interlock + delay self-cleaning timer: Set 30–180s automatic purification cycle; doors lock automatically during air shower cycle to prevent opening;

5. Standard UV germicidal lamp: Auxiliary sterilization for goods surface;

6. Pressure test port optional for regular filter clogging monitoring.

2. Core Features

1. Self-purification air shower function: High-speed laminar airflow strips surface particles from transferred items before opening the inner cleanroom door;

2. Double-stage filtration ensures circulating air inside the box stays ultra-clean;

3. Electronic interlock with timing auto-clean cycle, standardized GMP validation process;

4. Effectively block particle and bacterial cross-contamination between high-clean (ISO5/ISO6) and low-clean zones;

5. Stainless steel seamless cavity, easy to wipe with alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and chlorine disinfectants.
